SL3 Depth Errors

Depths interpreted by your chartplotter can be confused by a variety of inputs and require minor adjustments before processing and modeling.

False bottoms occur when things like thick vegetation, shallow water, and excessive signal noise, among others, trick the depth interpreter.

Sometimes the chartplotter loses a clear bottom signal and returns zero depth values. These complicate advanced processing methods.
