Blue TiefPunkt Privacy Policy

Blue TiefPunkt is a brand operated by RMBAKER LLC. This Privacy Policy describes how Blue TiefPunkt applications handle information and applies to applications including, but not limited to:

* SeaLog
* PingEdit
* ReconGPS

This policy may also apply to other Blue TiefPunkt applications that reference or link to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information Processed by Our Applications

Depending on the application and features used, Blue TiefPunkt applications may process information including:

* Information entered by the user
* Operational records, logs, notes, settings, and application preferences
* Vessel, trip, or sea-service information
* GPS, GNSS, position, route, or other location-related information
* Sonar, mapping, geospatial, or other files selected or provided by the user
* Information generated through processing, editing, calculating, or exporting user-provided data
* Application state and other information necessary for application functionality

The specific information processed depends on the application and the features the user chooses to use.

2. Local Data Storage

Blue TiefPunkt applications are designed primarily around local, user-controlled data storage.

Application data is generally stored locally on the user’s device unless the user chooses to export, share, transfer, back up, or otherwise provide that information to another location or service.

Blue TiefPunkt does not operate a centralized database for storing users’ application records, trip histories, sonar files, GNSS observations, or similar user-generated application data unless expressly disclosed for a particular feature or service.

3. Location and GNSS Data

Some Blue TiefPunkt applications may use location information when necessary to provide requested functionality.

Depending on the application and available hardware, location information may originate from the device’s location services or from compatible external positioning equipment or services.

Location information may be used for purposes such as:

* Recording positions, routes, or trips
* Creating geospatial records or exports
* Collecting or averaging GNSS observations
* Providing location-dependent application functionality

Blue TiefPunkt applications request location access only where location information is relevant to application functionality. Users control location permissions through their device’s operating-system settings.

Location and GNSS data processed by the application is not sold by Blue TiefPunkt.

4. User-Provided Files and Data

Certain applications may allow users to select, import, process, edit, create, or export files or datasets.

These may include sonar files, CSV files, geospatial files, trip records, backup files, or other supported data.

Blue TiefPunkt processes such information only as necessary to perform the functions requested by the user. Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights and permissions to use any data or files they provide to an application.

5. Exports, Backups, and User-Directed Sharing

Blue TiefPunkt applications may allow users to export, back up, save, or share information using services or applications available on their device.

These may include operating-system file services, cloud-storage providers, email, messaging applications, or other third-party services selected by the user.

Once information is exported or transferred to a third-party service, its handling is governed by that service’s privacy practices and terms. Blue TiefPunkt and RMBAKER LLC do not control the privacy or security practices of third-party services.

6. Third-Party Platforms and Services

Blue TiefPunkt applications may interact with services provided by operating-system vendors, app stores, device manufacturers, positioning-service providers, or other third parties when necessary to provide application functionality.

For example, purchases and subscriptions may be processed by platform providers such as Apple or Google. Blue TiefPunkt does not directly receive or store users’ complete payment-card information from app-store transactions.

Third-party services may independently collect or process information according to their own privacy policies and terms. Their practices are not controlled by Blue TiefPunkt or RMBAKER LLC.

7. Data Sharing and Sale

Blue TiefPunkt and RMBAKER LLC do not sell users’ personal information.

Blue TiefPunkt does not disclose user-generated application data to third parties for advertising or data-broker purposes.

Information may be transmitted or disclosed when:

* The user expressly directs or initiates the transfer;
* A third-party service is required to perform functionality requested by the user;
* The operating system or app-store platform processes information as part of providing its services; or
* Disclosure is required by applicable law or valid legal process.

8. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Blue TiefPunkt does not use user-generated application data for third-party advertising.

Unless expressly disclosed within a particular application or an updated version of this Privacy Policy, Blue TiefPunkt applications do not use user-generated application data to track users across applications or websites owned by other companies.

If analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, cloud services, or similar technologies are introduced in the future in a manner that materially changes how personal information is collected or transmitted, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Because application data is primarily stored locally, users generally control the retention and deletion of their data.

Depending on the application, users may delete individual records, clear application data using available application controls, delete exported files or backups, or remove the application from their device.

Copies previously exported, shared, or backed up outside the application must be managed through the location or third-party service where those copies are stored.

10. Data Security

Blue TiefPunkt takes reasonable measures in the design and operation of its applications to protect information handled by those applications.

However, no device, software application, storage system, or data-transfer method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users are responsible for maintaining appropriate security for their devices, accounts, exported files, and backups.

11. Children’s Privacy

Blue TiefPunkt applications are not designed or intended specifically for children, and Blue TiefPunkt does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a centralized Blue TiefPunkt user-data service.

12. Third-Party Products and Services

References to or compatibility with third-party products, hardware, software, services, file formats, or platforms do not mean that those third parties operate Blue TiefPunkt applications or control this Privacy Policy.

Third-party products and services are governed by their respective privacy policies and terms.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes to Blue TiefPunkt applications, functionality, legal requirements, or privacy practices.

Material changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date shown at the top of this policy. Users should periodically review the current version of the Privacy Policy.
